Service management advisory for leaders

Services / Advisory

Some organizations do not need a project. They need an experienced voice where direction is set. I take on a small number of advisory relationships with leaders and boards who want that voice on service management: someone who knows the frameworks, has seen many organizations use them, and has no product or method to sell.

What it is

Advisory is lighter than consulting and closer to the top. Instead of working on practices and processes day to day, I help the people who decide where those practices should go. That can mean reviewing a strategy or roadmap before it is approved, or acting as a sounding board for a CIO before a difficult decision. It can mean giving a steering group an independent view on a transformation, or helping leadership decide whether a move to ITIL (Version 5) is worth making.

Who it is for

CIOs, heads of IT and service management, and the boards and steering groups responsible for how an organization delivers its digital products and services. Public sector and corporate alike.

How it works

Advisory relationships are deliberately small. A typical arrangement is a regular session with leadership every month or quarter, with room to review documents or join a key meeting in between. It can also be a single review of a strategy, roadmap, or transformation plan before it goes forward. Most relationships take only a few days a year. Sessions run on-site in the Stockholm area or online.

Why work with me

I hold ITIL Master and Strategic Leader certification in both ITIL 4 and ITIL (Version 5), and I was among the first to reach Master in both. I have spent more than two decades in IT service management, with organizations ranging from government agencies and regions to banks, insurers, and global manufacturers. I have also served on boards myself, including as Vice Chair of Love Heals Free Clinics since 2019. I know what it is like to sit on the other side of the table and need clear, honest input.

Getting started

If you want an outside view on where your service management is heading, tell me what decision is in front of you. We can start with a single conversation and see whether an ongoing relationship makes sense.

Engagements run through BiTA Service Management or, for contract work, Amsonia AB, and we'll sort the right channel in the first conversation.
